Hostway, Microsoft team to "Kick It" in a Win-Win for all
Issue 02/June 2010 — In a move that benefits customers and developing countries alike, Hostway Corporation, recently joined the "Kick-It" campaign. When you purchase Windows Server 2008 through Hostway, Microsoft will donate to the humanitarian organization Right To Play. Additionally, when Windows Server 2008 is purchased with a hosted server through Hostway Corporation, for a limited time, customers will receive the "Kick-It" special offer of double the RAM and double the bandwidth.
Hostway Corporation Completes SAS 70 Type II Audit
Issue 01/April 2010 — This month Hostway announced that it has completed the SAS 70 (Statement of Auditing Standards No. 70: Services Organizations) Type II audit for four of its North American data centers.
Performed for Hostway by a tier one independent auditor, the SAS 70 Type II report required a thorough evaluation of controls over physical and logistical security, computer operations, HR processes, and related systems. The Type II designation includes not only this evaluation of the sufficiency of these controls but also detailed testing over a minimum six month period.
