To prevent lost data, we suggest you maintain a regularly scheduled backup of all your files in your local computer. Although Hostway plans include free site files backup services, the most up-to-date file information is often easier to get quickly if you perform your own backups as well. Backing up your files is easy-simply use an FTP application (your own or one found in SiteControl) to download the site files that you've created to your computer.  For most customers, the files on your computer hard drive are already the most recent files so there's no need to download from Hostway's servers (unless you're using some type of dynamic content, such as a database). If you do lose data, Hostway is happy to help with file restoration but this is an added service that costs $99 and it's also important to recognize that daily backups may not necessarily result in the restoration of the file you need from a specific date/time. As always, it's best to play it safe and backup your files early and often!
