Hostway’s CDN Chosen by CTAM to Deliver Fast-Loading Video Clips
Hostway’s Edge Caching content delivery network will provide access to video clips from CTAM Summit 08.
Chicago, Illinois, November 7, 2008 — Hostway Corporation, the global Web services leader, was chosen by the Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) to host video clips of the association's Summit 08, held November 9-11 in Boston. Hostway will deliver these clips using its patent-pending content delivery network (CDN), “Edge Caching.”

Edge Caching is a system of servers deployed across four continents that operate together to deliver content via the Internet. When a visitor downloads a CTAM Summit video clip, Edge Caching will select the best servers in terms of proximity and traffic load and rapidly deliver the video to the end-user from those servers. With multiple servers working toward the same goal, Edge Caching drastically reduces the amount of time it takes to deliver the video clips.
