Hostway Corporation Completes SAS 70 Type II Audit

Hostway completes SAS 70 Type II audit for enterprise hosting data center facilities in Austin, TX and Tampa, FL.

Chicago, Illinois, April 8^th, 2010 — Hostway Corporation, one of the world's largest infrastructure and web application hosting companies, today announced that it has completed the SAS 70 (Statement of Auditing Standards No. 70: Service Organizations) Type II audit for four of its North American data centers. The SAS 70 Type II process provides assurance that Hostway delivers fully secure, reliable, effective operating environments with the proper controls for conducting high availability IT and Internet operations.

The SAS 70 Type II audit requires detailed independent review and testing of operational controls and supporting processes and was performed by a major independent audit firm. SAS 70 was developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) for service providers who wish to demonstrate control effectiveness for customers and their independent auditors, and has become one of the most widely recognized auditing standards for service organizations.
