Position Description:

The Accounting Manager performs a broad range of accounting duties requiring thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). The successful candidate will take a hands-on role with direct responsibility for the entire reporting close process as well as the financial analysis of two legal entities. In addition, the Accounting Manager supervises a team that includes a Junior Accountant and an Accounts Payable clerk.

Responsibilities:

• Revenue assurance between the ledger and sales reporting system, booking monthly entries and balance sheet account reconciliation and analysis, including actual to budget and monthly trending, preparing financial reports and preparing management reports.
• Handle complex accounting areas including revenue recognition, fixed asset and lease accounting (FAS 13), consolidations and inter-company accounting.
• Monitor accounting and reconciliation processes to improve efficiency through automation or consolidation of processes.
• Assist in implementation of new GAAP guidance.
• Assist with the accounting integration of acquired entities.
• Perform special accounting projects as assigned.
• Analysis and elimination of I/C transactions.
• Responsible for all general ledger work to ensure financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Assist with year-end audit and schedule preparation.
• Assist in month-end close process including variance analysis to plan and investigation of explanation of variance to management.
• Assist in developing policies and procedures for international subsidiaries as well assessing current ones in place and adequacy of such policies and identifying controlled weaknesses.
• Maintain monthly debt covenant reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• CPA a plus.
• Supervisory experience.
• 5-6 years experience in dealing with international operations.
• Self-directed individual who can effectively handle and prioritize multiple projects.
• Proactive in assessing and finding solutions/improvements for higher productivity and efficiency.
• Solid working experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with AccPac or any multicurrency software a plus.
• Intermediate level of GAAP knowledge and experience.

Position Description:

This position will utilize a consultative selling approach, to sell Hostway’s suite of network services such as Content Delivery Network, colocation, IP transit, global DNS, global caching and SIP termination to target segmentations of medium to large enterprises in North America. The position will be responsible for prospecting new clients, understanding client's needs, goals, and objectives, and managing their pipeline.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meet or exceed monthly sales goals as assigned by management
• Outbound follow-up sales calls to sales pipelines and other assigned channels
• Utilize a consultative sales approach to close inbound leads as well as generate/close leads via prospecting with existing customers
• Assist prospects by analyzing their needs, recommending solutions and providing formal proposals
• An overall understanding of relationship selling and the importance of up selling higher revenue opportunities

Desired Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 years of direct sales experience in the content delivery network (CDN) industry and 4 years of network traffic sales experience
• Technical knowledge and expertise of content delivery network and network-related services
• Solution selling experience in complex and extended sales cycles
• Must be well organized and detail-oriented and have excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to identify and comprehend customer problems and create problem-solving solutions
• Strong customer service and sales skills are necessary
• Excellent active listening, oral and written communications skills

Hostway seeks a Software Engineer to develop systems for hosting provisioning services (including Linux & Windows clusters), billing, operations, systems engineering. Program in Python & C on Linux operating systems. Requires Masters in Computer Science. Salary range: $74,235-78,000 per year. Work hours: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
